Welcome to the NorCal Practical Precision Rifle Club (NCPPRC). Our mission is to provide events where the serious practical/tactical precision rifle shooter can test their skills and abilities in a safe and controlled environment. These competitions will give precision rifle shooters an arena to refine their skills in ways that pre-existing competitions do not currently provide. Matches are conducted in a professional and safe manner and supervised by qualified Range Safety Officers.
One of the unique facets of our club is that we provide competent mentoring for new shooters. We offer instructional clinics, monthly practice sessions, and an online discussion forum.
Our organization offers long range and steel match competitions, and a national two day event that attracts civilians, law enforcement, and military shooters from across the nation.
Some of the objectives of NCPPRC include:
- Promoting the safe, professional handling of firearms
- Encouraging others to participate in precision rifle competition
- Supporting new shooters with the development of their shooting skills
- Standardizing match formats, safety briefs, and instructional information
- Improving the quality of precision rifle matches
- Helping the development of programs at other ranges
